This is a holiday village in the Quercy Natural Park in the Lot département of SW France. It comprises 15 self-catering cottages, an 18x8-meter heated pool, a bar with a full drinks licence (Lic IV), and a pizzeria/café.
All this on a wooded estate of 3.5 hectares, much of which may be built on. The owner/manager has his own two-bedroom cottage.
This is no campsite in a shanty town!
The cottages are real houses, built of brick and roofed with canal tiles. Each house/gite has a lounge/kitchen, two bedrooms, two shower rooms, and a private terrace with a barbecue. Windows are double-glazed, and shutters are automatic.
The bar and pizzeria are located at the entrance to the estate and can cater both to residents and outsiders; it is a public bar with a licence to serve all alcoholic drinks.
A massive 18x8-meter heated pool keeps the residents happy when the weather gets warm, and there's much to see in the region when it's not: Rocamadour, St. Cirq-Lapopie, and Pech Merle are all close.
The current owners are open to selling the totality of the shares of the company that owns the estate (a more rapid method of buying the business) or a classic purchase of the freehold.
For those not that keen on running a holiday village, there are numerous other ways of re-thinking the business: as a retirement home for active 70-year-olds; as a yoga retreat; as a time-share project.
