This is a simple farmhouse B&B high up in the Séronais region of the Parc Naturel des Pyrénées. Guests come here to get away from the noise, pollution and bustle of the city and their hosts enjoy a life of ease in the invigorating mountain air.
The house has been completely renovated by an architect working with local craftsmen: they have created a bright and airy living space within a traditional mountain house.
The layout:
Ground floor - storage, barn and byre
First floor: spacious lounge with open fireplace, vast kitchen dining area where the table d'hôte is served, sun lounge, two guest bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and their own private lounge. At the back there are a number of service rooms: laundry, scullery and boiler-house. A broad wooden terrace/balcony extrudes from the south and eastern facade.
The entire house is heated by pellet-fired central-heating, brand new and installed in late 2022.
Second floor: the owners' quarters with 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside there is a simple and easily maintained garden with wisteria and palm trees prominent. An adjacent field of over an acre would suit a horse or donkey.
We feel that ambitious buyers could take the business to the next level by clearing out the lower floor and creating a communal space for meetings or yoga/dance lessons and even a cycle workshop ... for this is classic TdF country!
